Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach Openings: 2 Salary: (negotiate w/ experience) Length of Work: Winter 2022 ( Pre season Oct 2022, Season begin Nov 2022-March 2023 ) Employment Type: Part Time Site: Castro Valley High School Responsibilities This is a responsible position that requires working with the Head Coach in the implementation of the wrestling program. The work is under the direction of the Head Coach and involves assisting the Head Coach with general overall responsibility for the total wrestling program. The Assistant Coach must demonstrate an ability to work cooperatively and enthusiastically with the entire school community and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively and enthusiastically communicate with students and Head Coach. Demonstrates cooperation, friendliness and enthusiasm toward students, faculty, fellow coaches, and the public sector. Motivates student athletes by example. Assists with planning, coordinating and supervising a wrestling program based on the latest evidence of knowledge and skill about the latest matches. Adheres to the standards of conduct and safety for all student athletes. Adheres to school and CVUSD school district policies and procedures. Strict compliance with all CIF rules and regulations, and NCS rules and regulation. Exercises and teaches control and care of school-owned equipment. Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned and/or administratively directed

Requirements / Qualifications

Coaching experience desirable; must have valid CPR and First Aid Certificates, and meet all coaching requirements. In-district applicants must submit an online application to the Personnel Office for processing. All other applicants must submit an online application including two letters of recommendation and a resume. Must attend all wrestling events including practices, dual meets, tournaments, award banquet and fundraising events.
