Redlands East Valley High School is looking for a passionate and committed individual to join our wrestling program as the Boys Assistant Wrestling Coach. We invite applications from those who are enthusiastic about developing young athletes and fostering a love for the sport of wrestling.
Position: Boys Assistant Wrestling Coach
Key Responsibilities:
Support the head coach in planning and conducting effective practice sessions.
Work individually with wrestlers to improve their skills and techniques.
Assist in developing training programs that enhance the team’s performance.
Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude among athletes.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members during practices and competitions.
Help manage team logistics, including travel arrangements and equipment.
Encourage academic success and personal growth among student-athletes.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in coaching or wrestling at the high school or collegiate level is preferred.
Strong understanding of wrestling techniques, rules, and safety standards.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively with the head coach, athletic department, and school administration.
Commitment to creating an inclusive and motivating team environment.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Successful completion of a background check as required by school district policies.
