Poway Titans win 2023 Battle for the Belt Tournament

Willauer-Contributing Writer-Temecula High School-Temecula, CA1-14-23: The Poway Titans known for their wrestling dynasty along with winning various tournament titles made history as they claimed the 2023 Battle for the Belt Wrestling title under Head Wrestling Coach John Meyers since he took over the reigns claimed his 4th belt title and the school's 8th overall. Overall, various wrestlers who have donned the Green and White Wrestling uniform 25 Titan wrestlers have won 25 Battle for the Belt titles

Tonight was a special night for Poway as they sent 8 wrestlers in the championship round with 6 champion finished in first place with 359 .5 points.

Jalen Concepcion won by a fall over Pueblo County's Izaiah Padilla in 2:56 at 132
